Now Accepting Autism and Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarships!

We’re excited to announce that we are now officially accepting Autism Scholarships and Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarships! These scholarship programs are designed to support students with disabilities by providing families access to educational services tailored to their unique needs. If your child has an IEP or ETR and meets the qualifications, they may be eligible for one of these valuable opportunities.
🌟 Autism Scholarship Program Overview
The Autism Scholarship Program is available to students with an Autism diagnosis who have an active IEP (Individualized Education Program) and ETR (Evaluation Team Report). Here’s what you need to know about eligibility and how to apply:
✅ Eligibility Requirements
Students must be between ages 3 (preschool) and 22 (grade 12)
Must have a current IEP and ETR from a public school
Students newly turning 3 years old may apply (see deadlines below)
📅 Important Deadlines
March 31 is the final deadline to apply for the current program year
Students turning 3 after March 31 can still apply through May 31, but must contact our office for help with their application
April 1 marks the start of the application period for the upcoming school year
📝 How to Apply
Contact us to begin the application process — we’ll provide you with a paper application.
Complete the application and return it to us along with proof of address (ex. utility bill) and birth certificate.
We will upload your application to the scholarship system. The scholarship will notify your school district of residence to review your application for:
Accuracy
Completeness
Eligibility
Once approved you will receive a scholarship acceptance letter in the mail.
***If someone other than the parent is completing the application, a copy of guardianship must be uploaded.
📌 Important Note: Once the scholarship is awarded and accepted, families waive their right to FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education). Your child’s IEP will still be used as a guide for purchasing services from approved providers, but the public school district is no longer responsible for implementing it.
🏡 Moving? Here’s What You Need to Know
If your family moves during the school year, please notify us immediately so we can update your provider record.
Make sure the district of residence is current and correct.
🗓 Scholarship Start Date
The start date for the scholarship will be whichever is later:
The date listed on the application, or
The IEP start date
🧩 IEP Goals, Objectives & Progress Reports
As a scholarship provider, we will:
Implement speech Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives
Submit any modification requests to modify IEP goals to the scholarship office- We can modify goals to more accurately reflect speech needs if needed.
Submit quarterly progress reports to the scholarship on IEP goals or modified goals.
✏️ It’s important to note the scholarship will not pay for paperwork completed therefore the IEP progress report will be billed to the family at the $150 per hour paperwork and consultation fee prorated in 15 minute increments.
✅ Acceptance Process
Once your child is awarded the scholarship, you’ll need to complete the acceptance process:
Parent completes the Acceptance Form
We will upload the Acceptance Form (using the correct document type) and update the application status to “Accepted”
This step must be completed within 30 days of the award date
